About the Author

LB Haze is a writer, poet, and emerging literary novelist whose work explores the complexities of human nature, the fragility of the world we inhabit, and the extraordinary ways people endure the things that threaten to break them. Drawn to emotionally layered characters, atmospheric settings, and the uncomfortable truths that linger beneath the surface of everyday life, Haze writes storis that examine resilience, love, loss, and the complicated spaces where hope and heartbreak coexist.

            Haze holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Creative Writing and is a member of Sigma Tau Delts, the International English Honor Society. Continuing to pursue a lifelong passions for literature and the written word, Haze is currently an MFA student specializing in contemporary fiction. Through academic study and creative practice, Haze is a literary voice grounded in evocative storytelling.

            Haze is the author of Rainbow, a debut novel that explores the intersection of family, loss, memories, and survival against the backdrop of a climate-ravaged Florida. Set in a future where rising waters have transformed the familiar landscape, the novel follows a mother’s search for her missing teenage daughter as an approaching hurricane threatens to erase what remains. Blending atmospheric tension with intimate emotional stakes, Rainbow reflects Haze’s interes in the ways external disasters can bring buried histories and deeply personal struggles to the surface.

            In addition to fiction, Haze is a self-published poet, drawn to the expressive possibilities of language and its ability to capture the things that are often difficult to articulate.

            Outside the world of writing, Haze lives in Northeast Florida with her three sons and a dog named Max. Life with three boys provides no shortage of inspiration, interruptions, or material that may eventually find its way into a story.

            Between motherhood, graduate studies, and the demands of building a writing career, Haze continues to pursue stories that refuse to be ignored. The goal is not just to tell stories about broken things, but to explore what remains after: what people carry, what they lose, and who they become.
